Introduction to Musical Improvisation with Victoria Yeh

Join musician Victoria Yeh for a fun afternoon of creative music making! Transform your relationship with music into one of curiosity, discovery and new possibilities! Whether you’re new to improv, or looking for ways to inject new sounds and creativity to your existing musical practice, this workshop is for you.
We'll learn easy ways to improvise over familiar tunes, and how to make creative and interesting harmonic and rhythmic choices. Most importantly, we'll learn how to let go, tune into what's happening around us and find new inspiration.
This workshop is open to community members who play any instrument with intermediate to advanced proficiency. You don’t need to be able to read music, but you should be familiar with note names on your own instrument and be able to play your instrument independently. All levels of experience with improvising are welcome.
