The Wonderful World of Birds
Birds are one of the most well adapted and ubiquitous animals on the planet. North America is host to an assortment of incredibly diverse, robust, and beautiful species, and it is a true privilege to have such easy access to observe them from our own homes.
In this introductory course, participants will gain fundamental skills in bird identification and conservation. Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and open discussions, students will learn about North American birds and the many threats that they face in the modern world. From bird identification to adopting bird-safe practices and discovering ways to attract birds to one's own backyard, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of the world of birds.
This course is open to anyone with an interest in birds.
