Twined Basketry
$ 90 $ 58 cad
Before Dec 31, 2024
Many cultures and peoples around the world have used a variety of natural materials to create baskets that are both beautiful and utilitarian. Grasses, reeds, pine needles, and bark are just a few of the examples of items that can be dried and turned into baskets. In this workshop, we’ll focus on learning about twining, a technique in which two wefts cross over each other between warps, to create mini twined baskets. A variety of materials will be on offer, including cattails, corn husks, lily leaves, and grasses, meaning each basket will be unique and created entirely from nature!
Please Note: Materials will be provided by the instructor.
