Self-Regulation, Self-Actualization, and Well-Being

Self-regulation is emerging a key factor for quality of life in terms of well-being and level of functioning, not just for those who face dysfunction in certain areas but also for those who simply want more out of life.
This workshop will consist of a brief overview of the theory behind self-regulation and some of the most effective strategies for regulating your own behaviour (e.g., goal setting, self-reinforcement, etc.).
Following the theoretical component, the class will break into groups and complete activities designed to help you turn theory into practice by applying it to your own life.
Lastly, we will reconvene as a group for a brief sharing period - for those who are comfortable, followed by a meditation to reflect on the day’s teachings.
Presenter conveyed a sense of genuine interest in the subject and I came away with activity ideas that can help self regulate when striving to reach a goal.
